12月31日晚，以“青春正当时，载梦叙芳华”为主题的2020年国际学生新年晚会暨年度颁奖典礼在大礼堂隆重举行。校长刘德富，校党委常委、校长助理鄢烈洲出席晚会。
晚会在丝路乐队精彩的表演中拉开帷幕。
刘德富在晚会上发表了热情洋溢的新年致辞。他回顾了学校来华留学教育所取得的成绩，并对2020年学校来华留学教育工作提出了殷切希望；对国际学生在2019年所取得的成绩表示衷心的祝贺，希望同学们能够满怀斗志、不负韶华，与湖工大一同迎接精彩的2020年！

晚会现场气氛热烈，节目精彩纷呈。2019年优秀学生代表视频《榜样的力量》励志激昂，号召更多学生以他们为榜样，立德修身、求真问学、励志成才；《魅力孟加拉》《非洲之旅》等充满异域风情的舞蹈，仿佛置身于美丽的南亚与非洲大陆，激情飞扬；其中，中文歌曲联唱与中文情景朗诵《我的中国梦》，充分展示了国际学生对汉语与中国文化的热爱，将晚会推向了高潮。
此次新年晚会暨颁奖典礼，充分展示了国际学生不断进取、追求卓越的精神风貌，发挥了优秀学生的示范作用，营造了积极向上的国际化校园文化氛围。

今夜华灯初上，我们的校园静谧而可爱。今夜，我们全校近千名国际学生与教师聚于一堂，像家人一样一起相约跨年，一起感恩不凡的2019，一起迎接精彩的2020年！在这特殊的跨年之夜，我们在这里一起感受音乐的律动，一起分享舞蹈的澎湃！此时此刻，时光惬意且美妙；此情此景，内心温暖而感动。
When theeveninglightsareon,our campus is quiet and lovely. Tonight, nearly a thousand international students and teachers from our school have gathered in the same hall, as one family, to be grateful fortheamazing 2019 and to welcome the New Year, 2020. On this special New Year's Eve, we are here to experience the rhythm of music, toshare the stirring dance, to enjoy the great momenttogether! My heart is warm and moved by the pleasantair here.

2019年，是国际学院建院5周年，在过去的5年里，国际学院实现了从无到有再到优的重大跨越。学校现有中外合作办学学生1200余人，来华留学生近千人，建有湖北省全英文授课品牌课程4门，并设有孔子学院总部/国家汉办汉语水平考试考点。2019年10月，湖北工业大学以较高质量通过了来华留学质量认证，成为全国首批通过来华留学质量认证的高校，这是全校师生共同奋斗的结果，也是送给国际学院建院5周年的最好礼物！在今天这样一个特殊的时刻和场合，就让我们一起分享胜利的喜悦，一起品味成果的芬芳！
This year is an important year in the history of the School of International Education; it marks the fifth anniversary of theschool.In the past five years,we haveachieved agreatleap from scratch to excellence. The school currently has more than 1,200 Chinese-foreign cooperative students, nearly 1,000internationalstudents, 4provincialbrandcourses taught in English, andConfuciusInstitute Headquarters / National HanbanHSKTest Center.In October 2019,wepassed the quality certificationfor studying in China witha great score,among thefirst group of universities inChinato pass the quality certification. This is the result of the joint efforts of the teachers and students ofHBUTand also the best gift for the 5thanniversary ofSchool of International Education! In today’s special moment and occasion, let’s share the joy of victory and taste the fragranceof achievements together!
2019年，同学们在各个领域取得了耀眼的成绩。我们的学生在全校的马拉松比赛中斩获一等奖；我们的开幕式方阵，在全校的运动会开幕式上令人瞩目难忘；我们的“HBUTLIONS”篮球队在校级比赛中取得第3名的骄人成绩；我们的学生在校级的新生歌唱比赛中夺取冠军之席；在科技竞赛中，我们来自南非的SIKOLO XOLISWA（李花）同学，参加第三届全国大学生生命科学竞赛，并荣获二等奖等等。在即将过去的2019年，我们有太多的成绩、太多的荣耀需要述说！所以，我们今天齐聚这里，通过音乐言志，通过舞蹈传情，把2019年带来的欢欣分享给每一个人，把这一年以来的快乐扩散给每一个人。
In 2019, our students made brilliant achievements in various fields.Wewon the first prize in theHBUTmarathon; our paradeat this year’s opening ceremony of the school’s annualSports Meetingwas impressive; our basketball team, “HBUT LIONS”, won the third place in the school competition; our students won the1stprizeinHBUT FreshmanSingingCompetition; SIKOLO XOLISWA(希克罗·索里斯瓦，李花)from South Africa participated in the third National College Student Life Science Competition and won the2ndprize in the science and technology competition and many more.Thisyear, we have so many achievements and glories tobe told.
Therefore, we are here todayto sharethe joy of 2019 with everyone through music and dance, andto spreadthe joy of this year to everyone!
英雄需要铭记，光辉需要弘扬！在这个我们共同联欢、品尝喜悦的日子里，我们更需表彰为我们带来荣耀的同学们！在过去的一年里，我们一共有85名学生拿到了学业奖学金，有14名同学因为各方面表现突出被评为“国际学生之星”，这里面有最优秀的运动员，有最耀眼的歌手，有默默付出的志愿者，有辛勤奉献的学生干部！在这里恭喜你们，不负青春，也祝贺你们，赢得当下！
Heroes need to be remembered, and glory needs to be promoted!On this memorableday of our joy and celebration, we must also commend the students who bring uswithglory.
